Chesterfield vs Port Vale - Nolan and Faupala banned for Chesterfield's crunch game

Relegation-threatened Chesterfield will be without the suspended duo of Jon Nolan and David Faupala when they host Port Vale in Sky Bet League One.

Midfielder Nolan serves a one-match ban following his dismissal at Bolton last weekend, while forward Faupala sits out the second game of his three-match suspension after being sent off against Rochdale a fortnight ago.

The second-bottom Spireites, who could go down on Saturday, appear to have no new injury concerns.

Captain Ian Evatt remains out with a knee problem, while striker Ched Evans, who has not played since the start of last month, is unlikely to return.

Port Vale are without Kjell Knops after the Dutch defender suffered a serious knee injury in Tuesday's loss at Rochdale.

The 29-year-old is facing a lengthy lay-off after being carried off on a stretcher before half-time at Spotland.

Midfielder Danny Pugh is also missing through suspension as a result of his dismissal in the same game.

Defender Remie Streete remains doubtful with a hamstring injury and striker Anton Forrester is also still battling to return.
