Chesterfield vs Port Vale - Alex Kenyon banned for Morecambe
Posted Thursday, April 06, 2017 by PA
Alex Kenyon is suspended for Morecambe's home clash with a Hartlepool side who remain in relegation danger.
Midfielder Kenyon was sent off in the Shrimps' 3-1 loss at Cheltenham last weekend after handling the ball on the line.
Defender Ryan Edwards was able to overcome a slight injury to play the full 90 minutes against the Robins and should be fine to start again.
Morecambe will be desperate to end a run of seven consecutive league defeats.
Carl Magnay is in contention for a starting spot for Hartlepool.
The full-back returned to action in the closing moments of last Saturday's 2-0 defeat at home to Portsmouth following a six-month absence with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
Loanee Sean Kavanagh is receiving treatment for a hamstring problem at parent club Fulham and is not expected to return.
Billy Paynter (Achilles), Trevor Carson (shoulder) and Rob Jones (knee) are all out for the season.
