Grimsby Town vs Doncaster Rovers - Grimsby hit by injuries in bid to spoil Doncaster's promotion party

Grimsby boss Marcus Bignot has a number of injury concerns as his side bid to spoil Doncaster's promotion party at Blundell Park.

The League Two leaders can win promotion with a victory if other results go their way, but the Mariners are determined to spoil their party.

Ben Davies is ruled out with a calf injury while Scott Vernon also misses out after suffering concussion against Accrington Stanley.

Bignot's options are also hit by an unspecified injury suffered by striker Akwasi Asante which makes him rated 50-50 for the game.

Doncaster boss Darren Ferguson will check on the fitness of midfielder Conor Grant.

Grant sustained a groin injury in last week's home defeat to Plymouth and is doubtful, but full-back Craig Alcock is available after he was withdrawn from the same match due to a calf problem.

Luke McCullough is hoping to make his first start of the season. The Northern Ireland international stepped off the bench against Plymouth to end an eight-month absence after recovering from knee ligament damage.

Striker Liam Mandeville (thigh) is unlikely to feature, while Joe Wright and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair (both knee) remain sidelined.
