Norwich City vs Barnsley - Mitchell Dijks suspended for Norwich

Managerless Norwich must do without suspended defender Mitchell Dijks for the visit of Barnsley.

The Dutchman was shown a straight red card in last weekend's 2-2 home draw against Blackburn - the first match since the sacking of Alex Neil - and so starts a three-game ban.

Switzerland centre-half Tim Klose could be in contention again following a back problem.

Forward Nelson Oliveira (broken foot), midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu (thigh) and winger Matt Jarvis (hamstring) continue their recoveries along with midfielder Graham Dorrans (knee), while Louis Thompson is out for the season following Achilles surgery.

Barnsley defender Marc Roberts is hoping to prove his fitness in time after sustaining an ankle injury.

Head coach Paul Heckingbottom expects Roberts to be in contention and has no other new injury or suspension problems.

Fellow defenders Gethin Jones (toe) and Andy Yiadom (knee) both overcame minor knocks to start in last week's home draw against Ipswich.

Left-back Aidy White remains Heckingbottom's only absentee as he is recovering from surgery to resolve a pelvis problem.
