St. Mirren 0 - 0 Dunfermline: Dunfermline held to stalemale by basement club St Mirren
Posted Sunday, March 12, 2017 by PA
Dunfermline had to settle for a point as they were held to a goalless draw by basement club St Mirren in the Ladbrokes Scottish Championship.
The Buddies made a positive start and Sean Murdoch had to produce a fine save to deny Adam Eckersley in the 13th minute.
At the other end Nicky Clark was a whisker away from giving mid-table Dunfermline the lead with a header, and John Herron saw an effort chalked off for being in an offside position.
Pars forward Michael Moffat fired an effort over the crossbar early in the second half, but they were forced to defend in the closing stages as St Mirren went in search of the win.
