Lorient vs PSG - Glik does not expect PSG's European humiliation to impact the title race

Kamil Glik does not expect Paris St Germain's remarkable Champions League exit to affect the Ligue 1 title race.

Barcelona's historic comeback, with three goals in the final moments of the game on Wednesday, saw them overturn a 4-0 deficit from the first leg of the last-16 tie and left PSG humiliated.

Unai Emery's side must now focus on trying to reel in Monaco, who have a three-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table.

Monaco defender Glik told a press conference reported on the club website: "It's hard to lose like that but it's life. I do not think it will influence the championship. They have enough great players to bounce back.

"I had never seen that. It may never happen again in history."

Monaco can extend their lead to six points with victory over Bordeaux on Saturday ahead of PSG's clash against Lorient on Sunday.

Manager Leonardo Jardim may be able to call on Radamel Falcao, who missed the games against Marseille and Nantes through injury.

Jardim said: "Falcao has been practising on his own for the past three days, but he's going to have a final check (on Friday). He may be able to play against Bordeaux but it will be hard."

Monaco have their own Champions League date to worry about, with Manchester City taking a 5-3 lead into the second leg of their last-16 tie on Wednesday.

But they cannot underestimate fifth-placed Bordeaux, who have won three and drawn one of their last four matches.

Jardim said: "The most important thing now is Bordeaux, a tough opponent who is in their best period of the season. We will have to play hard to win, and to stay ahead of our opponents."

There has been a change behind the scenes at Bordeaux this week, with Stephane Martin replacing Jean-Louis Triaud as president of the club.

But Martin sees no reason to make major alterations, saying on the Bordeaux website: "I think the club is functioning very well.

"I'm not here to make a revolution. We are fifth in the table and we don't have the budget of the top clubs. We have no reason to be ashamed of our place.

"Nice also plays for the title, and this shows it can happen. We must not refrain from dreaming, but we must also be realistic."
