Cambridge United vs Colchester United - Cambridge to make late decision on Barry Corr

Posted Thursday, March 02, 2017 by PA

Cambridge boss Shaun Derry will leave it late to assess the fitness of striker Barry Corr ahead of their clash with Colchester.

Corr missed Tuesday night's 3-2 loss to Doncaster as a precaution over a groin niggle.

But he could be in contention to make his fourth appearance of the season following a serious knee injury.

Cambridge have no new injury problems, but Derry could shuffle his defensive options after the loss to Rovers.

Colchester are expected to again be without leading scorer Kurtis Guthrie, who has an ankle problem.

Forward Macauley Bonne has been recalled from his loan spell with Woking as cover, and Sammie Szmodics (ankle) is stepping up his recovery.

Wing-back Richard Brindley (calf) missed the midweek defeat at Grimsby, while midfielder Craig Slater continues to manage an ongoing groin problem.

Midfielder Doug Loft (Achilles), defender Tom Eastman (ankle) and club captain Luke Prosser (knee) all continue their rehabilitation, along with defender Jermaine Grandison (hip), Lloyd Doyley (calf) and midfielder Tommy O'Sullivan (knee).
