Grimsby Town vs Colchester United - Midfielder Dominic Vose back for Grimsby after thigh injury

Grimsby boss Marcus Bignot has received a timely boost with the news that Dominic Vose is in line to make a comeback against Colchester.

Vose has been battling to shake off a thigh injury and the influential midfielder, on loan from Scunthorpe, has been passed fit for the game.

Bignot reported no new injury worries as his side bid to bounce back from their disappointing defeat at Morecambe on Saturday.

Luke Maxwell and Brandon Comley are pushing for recalls after returning from their respective injuries as non-playing substitutes against the Shrimpers.

Kurtis Guthrie is likely to miss out for Colchester after suffering an ankle injury in the 2-1 win over Hartlepool.

Guthrie scored his 12th goal of the season and also won the penalty which Chris Porter converted, but was carried off on a stretcher in the closing stages.

Fellow striker Denny Johnstone (knee) and defender Frankie Kent (ankle) are out for the rest of the season.

Midfielder Craig Slater is battling to recover from a groin injury.
