Carlisle vs Portsmouth - Same again for Carlisle against Portsmouth

Posted Friday, February 24, 2017 by PA

Danny Grainger and Jason Kennedy are Carlisle's only absentees for their big League Two clash with Portsmouth.

Victory for Keith Curle's men would put further distance between them and the chasing pack looking to break into the automatic promotion places.

Kennedy had groin surgery earlier this month while Grainger has been out since December with an ankle injury.

Curle could name an unchanged side for a third straight match following wins over Doncaster and Wycombe.

Portsmouth could hand a debut to recent signing Stanley Aborah at Brunton Park.

The midfielder joined Pompey as a free agent earlier this month and boss Paul Cook has indicated he may include the former Notts County man in his 18-man squad for the first time on Saturday.

Cook, whose side sit fifth in the table, has no new injury concerns, with striker Curtis Main (knee) the only absentee.

Midfielder Conor Chaplin is pushing for a start after coming off the bench to grab a late equaliser at Barnet last weekend.
