Caen edge relegation rivals Nancy in re-arranged fixture

Caen climbed above Nancy in the battle to avoid relegation with a 1-0 win at Stade Michel d'Ornano.
Ronny Rodelin's first-half goal was decisive as Caen moved to 28 points by ending a three-match losing streak in a fixture postponed from January 21 due to a frozen pitch.
Nancy finished the game with 10 men after Faitout Maouassa was sent off for two bookable offences.
The visitors are now 18th, two places off the foot of the table and three behind Caen, who have a point more.
Caen had lost to Bordeaux, Dijon and Lille in their last three games, conceding seven times without scoring, while Nancy had beaten Caen in the league and French cup in successive games in October.
But the hosts took the lead after 24 minutes when Rodelin collected a throw-in down the right, beat Modou Diagne for pace and cut inside before coolly finishing past Sergey Chernik.
And it proved to be the difference as Caen climbed out of the drop zone by inflicting Nancy's fourth straight defeat.
Caen next play at St Etienne on Sunday, while Nancy host Toulouse on Saturday.
