Sunderland could be moving to London

A crazy story appears in the Sun on Sunday regarding Sunderland.

The Black Cats are currently bottom of the Premier League, three points from safety.

If Sunderland manage to beat the drop it will be a minor miracle, as David Moyes’s side have looked woeful for much of the season.

And yet, while Sunderland are battling for their EPL lives, it appears that the board are making plans to move the club’s training ground to London.

All about money

The Sun believed they’ve revealed a “hush-hush project” which would see Sunderland move to London during the week to train in the capital rather than Wearside.

The crackpot idea is fuelled by thoughts of money. The tabloid claim “the idea is to make the Black Cats more attractive to foreign investment”. It’s also hoped Sunderland’s base in London could attract better players to the club.

It’s believed Sunderland have already scouted QPR’s training facilities.
