Millwall vs Port Vale - Shaun Williams back in contention as Millwall take on Port Vale

Millwall manager Neil Harris could welcome back midfielder Shaun Williams for Tuesday night's Sky Bet League One clash against Port Vale.

Williams missed the victory over Southend last weekend due to the birth of his second child but should be available.

Jimmy Abdou and Calum Butcher returned to the starting line-up last time out and may keep their places in the side.

Shaun Cummings and Fred Onyedinma, who scored the winner against Southend, also started last Saturday and are set to start, while Ben Thompson is pushing for a start after dropping to the bench due to a hamstring problem.

The fitness of Port Vale's Jerome Thomas has become an issue ahead of the game after the winger pulled out of Saturday's draw at Gillingham.

Thomas, who had been named among the substitutes, injured his calf in the warm-up and had to be replaced on the bench.

Coming after a spell of interrupted training due to illness, manager Michael Brown voiced his frustration with the 33-year-old's fitness record after the match.

Midfielder Danny Pugh could continue after making his first start for the Valiants at the weekend.
