Wolves' Jack Price is likely to miss out against Wigan after suffering a head injury in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Newcastle.
The midfielder is not expected to be risked after coming off at half-time, while Joe Mason continues to struggle with a hernia problem and is a major doubt.
Defender Mike Williamson may return after missing the last two games with a groin problem.
Long-term injury victims Michal Zyro and Jordan Graham remain out as they continue to recover from knee injuries.
Wigan's January signing Matt Gilks looks set to continue in goal after replacing Jakob Haugaard at half-time of Saturday's defeat at Fulham.
Midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe returns from suspension and is likely to be included in the squad.
On-loan Derby midfielder Jamie Hanson is pushing for a start after impressing as a substitute, but James Weir, on loan from Hull, is still in need of competitive minutes, as are Mikael Mandron, Gabriel Obertan, Jack Byrne, Josh Laurent and Alex Bruce.
Defender Craig Morgan is a doubt after missing Saturday's defeat with a toe injury, but Alex Gilbey and Reece James (both ankle) could be in contention.
