Leeds United vs Cardiff City - Leeds forward Kemar Roofe fit to face Cardiff

Posted Friday, February 10, 2017 by PA

Leeds forward Kemar Roofe has been passed fit for his side's home game against former boss Neil Warnock's Cardiff.

Roofe missed Sunday's defeat at Sky Bet Championship play-off rivals Huddersfield due to bruised ribs but has returned to full training this week.

Head coach Garry Monk has a fully-fit squad to choose from apart from left-back Charlie Taylor, who has been sidelined since mid-December with an Achilles injury.

Loan signings Alfonso Pedraza and Modou Barrow, who made their debuts off the bench last week, are both hoping to make their first starts.

Cardiff will be without defenders Lee Peltier and Bruno Manga for at least two months through injury.

Peltier missed the defeat to Norwich last weekend due to an ankle injury sustained during their 2-0 win over Preston and has undergone ankle surgery.

Manga has not featured for the Bluebirds since picking up an injury on international duty with Gabon at the African Nations Cup and is set for a long spell on the sidelines.

Midfielder Anthony Pilkington is set to miss out again and will look to return to action against Derby next week while Rickie Lambert will be included in the matchday squad at Elland Road.
