Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth could give Alex Jakubiak a home debut against Portsmouth after the on-loan Watford striker scored on his maiden appearance.

Jakubiak netted in the 4-2 defeat at Exeter on Tuesday after Ainsworth made seven changes from the side beaten by Spurs in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Adebayo Akinfenwa and Paul Hayes were left out as a precaution due to minor injuries but should be available to face Portsmouth, while Joe Jacobson is set to feature after being rested.

Midfielder Matt Bloomfield and forward Paris Cowan-Hall are a couple of weeks away from returning to the squad due to groin and hamstring injuries respectively.

New loan signings Eoin Doyle and Aaron Simpson could feature for Portsmouth after both joined the club on transfer deadline day.

Doyle, who joined from Sky Bet Championship club Preston, and Wolves defender Simpson are available for selection as the Blues look to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat against Exeter last weekend.

Striker Nicke Kabamba is still waiting to make his debut for the club after his move from Hampton & Richmond while Gary Roberts and Jamal Lowe are pushing for starts.

Curtis Main remains sidelined after suffering a knee injury during his recovery from a previous setback.
