Michael Kightly could make his Burton debut in Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash at home to Wolves.
Kightly signed on loan from Burnley on transfer deadline day, but not in time to face Fulham, when Albion suffered a fifth defeat from six games in 2017.
Forward Cauley Woodrow and midfielder Lasse Vigen Christensen are available again after being ineligible to face their parent club.
John Brayford (ankle), Kyle McFadzean (toe) and Luke Varney (punctured lung) remain out.
New Wolves signing Ben Marshall is available to make his debut after joining from Blackburn this week.
Boss Paul Lambert admitted the winger is lacking fitness but confirmed he is in line to feature at Burton.
Romain Saiss is back after Morocco's African Nations Cup campaign but is not ready to play for Wolves.
Mike Williamson should be fit after a groin injury while goalkeeper Carl Ikeme is back after a ban following a red card at Norwich last month.
