Cheltenham Town vs Newport County - Cheltenham boosted by fully-fit squad ahead of Newport clash

Cheltenham manager Gary Johnson is in the unusual position of having a fully-fit squad from which to choose when they host Newport in Sky Bet League Two.

That they defeated fifth-placed Luton 3-2 away on Tuesday suggests he will be tempted to name the same team, but he is expected to make changes from the defensive 5-4-1 formation they played in.

Recent signing Liam Davis was not involved at Luton, but he could be among those pushing for a squad place.

Danny Wright could be among those pushing for a recall should Johnson choose to play with a second striker.

Newport midfielder Josh Sheehan (ankle) is doubtful, but Sean Rigg is pushing for a recall after recovering from a hamstring problem.

Midfielders Ben Tozer, Jack Compton and Mark Randall will not be considered for selection despite failing to find new clubs before the deadline.

Defender Kieran Parselle and striker Tom Meechan have both returned from loan spells but are unlikely to make the squad.

Winger Jennison Myrie-Williams (ankle) and midfielder Joss Labadie are still sidelined, along with defender Jamie Turley and striker Lenall John-Lewis (both knee).
