Millwall vs Walsall - Lions aim to go from strength to strength against Walsall

Millwall will look to build on their impressive recent form as they look to press for a Sky Bet League One play-off position place against Walsall on Wednesday night.

Neil Harris' side are just five points behind sixth-placed Rochdale and are unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions, winning five.

Harris hopes to have Calum Butcher and Harry Smith available for selection after they missed the 1-0 FA Cup fourth-round win over Watford on Sunday.

Paris Cowan-Hall is unavailable after he mutually agreed to have his contract terminated on Tuesday while Jed Wallace is looking to start following two encouraging appearances from the substitutes bench.

Walsall manager Jon Whitney could name an unchanged side for his side's trip to east London.

On-loan Southampton defender Jason McCarthy will retain his place at centre-back following his two-goal return in the 3-3 draw against Bury at the weekend.

Strikers Andreas Makris and Simeon Jackson are pushing for starting places after recent substitute appearances but may have to settle for places on the bench once again.

Reece Flanagan is stepping up his fitness as he recovers from a serious knee injury but is not in contention for a Walsall side that have lost only once in their last seven league matches.
