Walsall vs Bristol Rovers - Saddlers squad still sharp after blunting Blades
Posted Thursday, January 19, 2017 by PA
Walsall could be unchanged against Bristol Rovers following a 4-1 thumping of Sheffield United.
Matt Preston recovered from a virus and Isaiah Osbourne returned following a knee problem to star against the Blades.
Amadou Bakayoko scored his ninth goal of the season against United and is expected to lead the line again.
The Saddlers are 14th in Sky Bet League One, nine points adrift of the play-off places.
Goalkeeper Joe Lumley will make his Rovers debut after signing on loan from QPR.
Lumley has been signed for the rest of the season after Kelle Roos' return to Derby, and Rovers boss Darrell Clarke has confirmed that the 21-year-old will replace Will Puddy.
Joe Partington could also be handed his first start after making his debut as a substitute at Fleetwood last weekend.
The former Eastleigh defender could replace Mark McChrystal, while Cristian Montano and Stuart Sinclair are also in contention to return.
