Chelsea are lining up potential replacements for Diego Costa with Jorge Mendes preparing to talk Real Madrid into letting Alvaro Morata join the Blues.
Diego Costa returned to Chelsea training on Tuesday after a bust-up with Antonio Conte last week and while it appears the Brazilian-born Spaniard will be staying this month there are no assurances past the summer.
Chelsea are prepared to let the 28-year-old depart at the end of the season if they can find a suitable replacement and according to the Evening Standard, Morata is at the top of their list.
The Spain international has played 12 times in La Liga this season for Real, scoring five goals, and the Blues are hopeful that agent Mendes can convince president Florentino Perez to sell the 24-year-old to them.
Former frontman Romelu Lukaku is also a target, according to the report, after Conte failed to sign the Belgian last summer. The Evening Standard also say that the Belgian still dreams of returning to Stamford Bridge.
