Blackpool vs Barnsley - Bowyer considering changes before Blackpool host Barnsley

Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer will again consider making changes for the FA Cup third-round clash against Barnsley at Bloomfield Road.

Bowyer tried to freshen up his side by bringing in Michael Cain, Danny Pugh, Danny Philliskirk and Armand Gnanduillet against Mansfield on Monday but the Seasiders could not avoid a 1-0 defeat.

The performances of forwards Gnanduillet and Philliskirk came under particular scrutiny and Bowyer must decide whether to give them another chance.

Midfielders Colin Daniel (hamstring) and Mark Yeates (calf) both continue to struggle with injuries.

Barnsley's on-loan striker Adam Armstrong is available after he extended his stay from parent club Newcastle until the end of the season.

Centre-half Marc Roberts sits out the second game of his three-match ban following his straight red card in the recent home draw with Birmingham.

Adam Jackson is expected to continue alongside Angus MacDonald at the heart of defence in Roberts' absence, while head coach Paul Heckingbottom must decide whether to recall leading goalscorer Sam Winnall.

The Reds have won five of their last seven league games and lie eighth in the table, four points off the play-off places.
