Stevenage Borough vs Newport County - No fresh worries for Stevenage
Posted Friday, January 06, 2017 by PA
Manager Darren Sarll has no fresh injury or suspension concerns as Stevenage welcome Newport in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday.
Boro are expected to name an unchanged side despite losing 1-0 to Doncaster last weekend. Sarll admitted he was happy with the performance, despite the result.
Tom Conlon remains sidelined due to an knee injury and remains Stevenage's only long-term absentee.
Boro are currently 15th in the table having lost their last three games in a row.
Newport are likely to hand debuts to Jaanai Gordon and Sid Nelson.
Striker Gordon and defender Nelson have joined on loan from West Ham and Millwall respectively, and the pair seem set to start with bottom-placed County aiming to end a run of seven straight defeats.
Aaron Williams, signed from Peterborough on New Year's Day, is likely to continue up front after making his debut at Wycombe on Monday.
Captain Scot Bennett (broken nose) and midfielder Ben Tozer (sore neck) should be available, but Sean Rigg is ruled out with a hamstring problem.
