Ultras sneak into the Bernabeu

It has been a positive evening for Real Madrid on the pitch yet crowd disturbances involving an ultra group colliding with away supporters has marred the Copa del Rey clash at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Copa del Rey regulations state that a quota of 40,000 tickets be put on general sale and as a result some tickets within the designated away zone have ended up in the hands of Los Blancos' ultra group.

These ultras have found themselves banned from entering the stadium in recent years but have managed to squeeze through the net on this occasion.

Verbal abuse was hurled at the travelling Andalusian supporters before stewards had to move into the zone to mediate the disturbance.

When this proved relatively ineffective the police were called in and proceeded to eject any supporter who was out of their designated seat with a fine reaching up to 3,000 euros.

This comes against a backdrop of recent insistences from the ultra group that they would soon return to reoccupy their former territory at the south side of the ground.
