Accrington Stanley vs Hartlepool United FC - John O'Sullivan doubtful ahead of Pools clash

John O'Sullivan is a concern for Accrington when they meet Hartlepool.

The midfielder limped off eight minutes from time in the New Year's Eve win over Crewe and now faces a race against time to be fit.

Goalkeeper Elliot Parish (knee) could miss a third successive game so Aaron Chapman is ready to fill in once more.

John Coleman has said he is hopeful of making two loan signings prior to kick-off and could include both in his squad should he complete them in time.

Hartlepool will hope Matthew Bates has recovered from a back injury after fellow defender Toto Nsiala was sold to Shrewsbury on the first day of the transfer window.

Centre-back Bates missed Friday's 3-2 win over Morecambe and will be assessed.

Nsiala, who only signed for Pools last summer on a free transfer from Grimsby, reunites with former Mariners boss Paul Hurst at the Greenhous Meadow.

James Martin, Rob Jones and Carl Magnay are all sidelined with knee injuries and Nathan Thomas is out with a groin problem.
