Posted Sunday, January 01, 2017 by PA
Grimsby's new signing Adi Yussuf could make his debut in the home game against Carlisle.
Striker Yussuf became boss Marcus Bignot's first signing when he arrived on a free transfer from Mansfield on New Year's Eve.
Fellow forward Ashley Chambers is doubtful after being forced off due to a knock sustained during the first half of Saturday's goalless home draw against Blackpool.
Midfielder Sean McAllister (groin) remains sidelined as the Mariners bid for a fifth league win on the road this season.
Carlisle boss Keith Curle reported no new injury worries following Saturday's win at Notts County.
Defender Danny Grainger is still out with a knee injury, so Macaulay Gillesphey is expected to play in his last game before his scheduled return to parent club Newcastle.
Mike Jones remains sidelined with an ankle problem, while fellow midfielder Russell Penn is hoping to feature after recently returning from his loan spell at Gateshead.
Striker Shaun Miller and midfielder Reggie Lambe are pushing for recalls as the Cumbrians look to extend their unbeaten league run to eight matches.
