Sheffield United vs Northampton Town - Chris Wilder expected to choose from unchanged squad as Blades host Northampton

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is expected to choose from an unchanged squad for the visit of former club Northampton.

Wilder has reported no new injury concerns following the home Boxing Day win against Oldham, but may make one or two changes as his side approaches two games in three days.

Striker Leon Clarke is pushing for a recall upfront alongside Billy Sharp, while midfielder Stefan Scougall is in contention after recently shaking off a hamstring strain.

The Blades have won nine of their last 12 league games and could go top with victory if Scunthorpe drop points at Bolton.

Sam Hoskins remains an injury doubt for Northampton as he struggles with a hamstring problem sustained on Christmas Eve.

Boss Rob Page has not ruled the striker out but told the club's website: "If Sam's not right for Saturday then we will go with what we've got but he's coming on well and if he shows no reaction from training he'll certainly be in contention."

Alfie Potter came in for the clash with Oxford and impressed, so he would likely keep a starting spot if Hoskins misses out.

Brendan Moloney (knee) and JJ Hooper (thigh) are still sidelined.
