Midfielder Prince Oniangue could make his first appearance for two months when Wolves play Bristol City in the Sky Bet Championship on Boxing Day.
Oniangue, who joined from Reims in the summer, has been out since October, but could come into the squad after two appearances for the development squad.
Defender Mike Williamson is also nearing a return to fitness, but his first involvement in a year with Wolves is more likely to come in 2017.
Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme returned to start in the win against Nottingham Forest, with Harry Burgoyne on the bench.
Bristol City are hopeful goalkeeper Frank Fielding will be available after a rib problem.
Fielding missed last weekend's home defeat to Preston and young Austrian goalkeeper Ivan Lucic deputised for his first league start.
Robins boss Lee Johnson rates both Fielding and midfielder Korey Smith, who has also been troubled by a rib injury, as 50/50 to make the trip to Molineux.
The pair are Johnson's only concerns with Gary O'Neil (hamstring) and Joel Ekstrand (ankle) declared fit for the festive programme.
