Huddersfield skipper Mark Hudson could return for the home game against Nottingham Forest.

Centre-half Hudson is closing in on a return to action after missing the last four games due to a hamstring injury and could feature in head coach David Wagner's squad.

Wagner, who has no new injury or suspension problems following last week's win at Norwich, must decide whether to rotate his players again after making five changes at Carrow Road.

Defenders Martin Cranie, Michael Hefele and Tareiq Holmes-Dennis, forward Harry Bunn and midfielder Philip Billing are pushing for recalls as Town chase their fourth straight league win, but Sean Scannell (ankle) and Joe Lolley (foot) are still out.

Britt Assombalonga is expected to be back in the Forest squad for the trip to West Yorkshire after struggling for several weeks with a hamstring injury.

Fellow striker Nicklas Bendtner has recovered from his hamstring issue while Thomas Lam, who can play in defence or midfield, is also fit again.

Damien Perquis has had an operation on his jaw after getting hit in the face against Preston on December 14 and the defender remains a doubt after missing the home defeat to Wolves.

Captain Henri Lansbury is not yet ready to return from his hamstring injury as Forest look for a first win in four Championship matches.
