Queen of South 2 - 2 Dunfermline: Dobbie deals the damage as Doonhamers draw with Dunfermline

Posted Sunday, December 18, 2016 by PA

Stephen Dobbie struck with 12 minutes remaining as Queen of the South and Dunfermline played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Palmerston Park.

Both sides were in attack mode and had chances to open the scoring before Darren Brownlie gave the hosts a 39th-minute lead, heading home from Mark Millar's corner.

Dunfermline drew level just after the hour mark thanks to Jason Talbot's fantastic volley from the edge of the area and they took a 73rd-minute lead following Kallum Higginbotham's header from Joe Cardle's ball into the box.

Their advantage lasted only five minutes, though, as Dobbie was allowed a tap-in after Sean Murdoch had failed to gather Derek Lyle's low pass as the spoils were shared.
