Dumbarton 2 - 1 Falkirk: Garry Fleming steers Sons into eighth place

Garry Fleming's strike midway through the second half moved Dumbarton up to eighth in the Ladbrokes Championship following a 2-1 win over Falkirk.

Chances were few and far between in a dreary opening half although Dumbarton managed to go in at the break a goal to the good thanks to Robert Thomson's 44th-minute header from Sam Stanton's floated corner.

Falkirk equalised in the 66th minute when Craig Sibbald profited from a scramble in the Dumbarton area to drill past goalkeeper Alan Martin.

But the visitors were only level for two minutes as Fleming latched on to Stanton's excellent ball through and slotted home for what would prove to be the winner.
