Werder Bremen 1 - 1 Koln: Cologne pegged back by Serge Gnabry in Bundesliga draw at Werder Bremen

Cologne missed an opportunity to move into the top six of the Bundesliga on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw at struggling Werder Bremen.
Cologne took the lead in the 28th minute when Anthony Modeste's shot hit the legs of Jaroslav Drobny and the ball trickled through for Artjoms Rudnevs to convert into an open goal.
Serge Gnabry levelled with a long-range strike, although Thomas Kessler could arguably have done better as the shot bounced just in front of his outstretched arms and into the net.
Cologne had a strong shout for a penalty waved away in the final minute as they were frustrated in northern Germany by a side who are now five points clear of the bottom three.
