RB Leipzig vs Hertha BSC Berlin - Ralph Hasenhuttl expects Leipzig to bounce back after losing unbeaten record

RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl says he does not expect his side's first defeat of the season last weekend to knock them off course.

Leipzig's unbeaten record since earning promotion to the top flight came to an end against Hasenhuttl's former club Ingolstadt, but the Leipzig coach is confident his team will bounce straight back at home to third-placed Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

He said at the pre-match press conference: "We lost for the first time in our 14th game and I think it's pretty normal after being promoted that you do get beaten sooner or later and it was just one of those days when nothing went for us.

"We did have some good chances, but we were not quick enough with our actions up front and didn't therefore get our transitions working.

"But we're really looking forward to facing Hertha Berlin. They have developed really well in the past two years.

"We know what a tough test we face on Saturday. They are opponents who change a lot over 90 minutes and we're going to have to be very alert and flexible. We want to see where we stand and how we can cope against a top club.

"We know where we have come from and we are humble but we are also courageous and confident going into our last two games of the year, which we hope will be positive."

After facing third-placed Hertha, who are six points behind them, Leipzig travel to Bayern Munich in midweek to wrap up their first four months in the Bundesliga.

Two wins from those two games would see the league newcomers leading the way into 2017, although Hertha have other ideas.

"We're not going there to get 60% of the possession, but we are going there to steal the points," said Hertha coach Pal Dardai.

The basis of that will be a solid defensive display which Dardai admits is going to be difficult due to the lack of numbers.

John Anthony Brooks and Sebastian Langkamp are both ruled out injured, so it could be the turn of a rookie to make his debut.

"The only central defender who is left footed that we have available is Jordan Torunarigha," he said of the 19-year-old youth team player who has been training with the first team this week.
