Lille OSC 2 - 1 Montpellier: Lille's good form continues with 2-1 win over Montpellier

Posted Sunday, December 11, 2016 by PA

Lille's good form under interim boss Patrick Collot continued as they defeated Montpellier 2-1 at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

The hosts were two goals up by the interval thanks to strikes from Nicolas de Preville in the fifth minute and Younousse Sankhare in the 38th.

Steve Mounie pulled a goal back for Montpellier with a header nine minutes from time.

Since Lille parted company with coach Frederic Antonetti last month, they have put together an unbeaten run with Collot in charge that has now extended to four games and seen them win their last three in a row. They are up to 11th in the Ligue 1 table, while Montpellier have dropped a place to 13th.
