Fog forces postponement of Nantes versus Caen in Ligue 1
Posted Sunday, December 11, 2016 by PA
The match between Ligue 1 strugglers Nantes and Caen was postponed on Saturday due to thick fog at Stade de la Beaujoire.
The hosts, who have failed to win their last six league games, are back in Coupe de la Ligue action at home to Montpellier on Tuesday.
That factor ruled out the possibility of rescheduling the league fixture for Sunday.
A statement on Nantes' website read: "The match between FC Nantes and SM Caen has been postponed because of fog."
French football league (LFP) match delegate Jacques Fiore added: "The match can't be played tomorrow because Nantes play on Tuesday in the Coupe de la Ligue. The competitions commission will decide the new date."
