Falkirk 2 - 2 Queen of South: Queen of the South end losing run with Falkirk draw

Posted Sunday, December 11, 2016 by PA

Queen of the South ended a run of seven straight Scottish Championship defeats by salvaging a 2-2 draw at Falkirk.

Stephen Dobbie put the visitors in front against the run of play after 34 minutes, finishing off a fine one-two with Derek Lyle to notch his 15th goal of the season.

But Myles Hippolyte levelled things up in first-half stoppage-time with a superb free-kick from the edge of the box, before putting the hosts in front with a cross that evaded everyone - including visitors' goalkeeper Lee Robinson - in the 54th minute.

That lead lasted only six minutes, with Lyle turning from provider to scorer as his header earned Queen of the South a point on the hour-mark.
