Rochdale vs Scunthorpe United - Striker Calvin Andrew set to return for Rochdale after nine-match ban

Rochdale's Calvin Andrew is available to return to action in their Sky Bet League One home clash with Scunthorpe on Saturday after he completed his lengthy suspension.

The striker has been serving a ban for violent conduct that was initially 12 games before being reduced to nine.

Defender Jim McNulty was sent off in Tuesday's Checkatrade Trophy defeat to Chesterfield but the resulting suspension does not apply in the league, so he is free to play as well.

Andy Cannon, Peter Vincenti and Brian Barry-Murphy all remain sidelined.

Table-topping Scunthorpe are still without captain Stephen Dawson.

Dawson hurt his ankle three games ago and has still not made a full return to training.

Jamie Ness is available to bolster the centre of the park after missing the midweek Checkatrade Trophy game against Morecambe with illness.

Striker Paddy Madden is pushing for a start after hamstring trouble and defender Harry Toffolo could return to the squad.
