Fleetwood Town vs Walsall - Fleetwood face further injury problems for Walsall clash

Posted Friday, December 09, 2016 by PA

Injuries are beginning to mount for Fleetwood manager Uwe Rosler ahead of the visit of Walsall.

The German is seeing numbers diminish due to several impact injuries, which he admits makes it more difficult for them to extend their five-match unbeaten run.

Defender Ashley Eastham is out after surgery on a broken jaw while midfielder Jimmy Ryan is sidelined for a few more weeks after undergoing a minor operation on a foot injury.

Midfielders Michael Duckworth (groin) and Martyn Woolford (knee) are longer-term absentees.

Kieron Morris is a doubt for Walsall with an ankle injury while fellow midfielders Maz Kouhyar (knee) and Reece Flanagan are both out.

Saddlers boss Jon Whitney may recall Florent Cuvelier and Franck Moussa after leaving them out recently.

The likes of Simeon Jackson, Isaiah Osbourne, Liam Kinsella, Josh Ginnelly and Andreas Makris are also options for Whitney.

Walsall travel to the north west looking to record successive league wins for the first time since mid-October.
