Luton Town vs Carlisle - Luton looking strong for Carlisle test

Posted Friday, December 09, 2016 by PA

Luton boss Nathan Jones has a fully-fit squad to choose from ahead of their Sky Bet League Two clash against Carlisle.

Jones continued his rotation policy in the cup competitions but forward Danny Hylton is expected to return to the starting line-up at Kenilworth Road.

Fellow forward Craig Mackail-Smith came off the bench during their Checkatrade Trophy win at Swindon but is still gaining match fitness after recovering from a broken leg.

Josh McQuoid could retain his place after his brace in midweek while Newcastle loanee Alex Gillead and James Justin will be assessed before the game.

Carlisle will make changes as they look to relocate their league form following back-to-back cup defeats.

Goalkeeper Mark Gillespie and top scorer Charlie Wyke did not start in the Checkatrade Trophy defeat against Mansfield but should return.

Captain Danny Grainger played during that match with a head bandage after cutting his face but is not a doubt.

Joe McKee faces a fitness test after limping off in midweek and striker Jabo Ibehre is not ready despite stepping up his rehabilitation from a back problem.
