Bradford AFC - Charlton Athletic - Billy Clarke to miss out for Bradford

Posted Thursday, December 08, 2016 by PA

Bradford will be without striker Billy Clarke for their home game against Charlton.

Clarke has missed the last four games due to a calf strain, but defender Tony McMahon could return to league action for the first time since August.

McMahon played for over an hour in the midweek Checkatrade Trophy win against Cambridge and is expected to be included in the squad.

Wingers Filipe Morais and Haris Vuckic, defender Rory McArdle, plus striker Jordy Hiwula will be hoping to retain their places after starting on Wednesday night, while James Hanson and Marc McNulty are pushing for recalls.

Charlton have no new injuries but remain without five players.

Goalkeeper Declan Rudd is building up his fitness after a hip problem and winger Ricky Holmes remains sidelined by a foot injury.

Right-back Chris Solly has returned to training after a knee injury and could feature in the FA Cup replay against MK Dons on Tuesday.

Midfielder Johnnie Jackson is also back in training but will not be ready for the weekend while Ahmed Kashi is a long-term absentee with an Achilles injury.
