The Slovakia international put pen to paper on a new contract in the summer and, despite interest from Milan and Juventus over the years, he has hinted he wants to end his career at the Partenopei.
"I don't need clauses to feel linked to this club," Hamsik told So Foot.
"I love this city, I could not leave. And here a trophy is worth 10 somewhere else – I couldn't leave Napoli.
"Five years ago I was courted by Milan, last year Juventus wanted me too. In the end nothing happened, because I really felt the confidence of the coach and the president and they wanted me to stay.
"Here in Naples people think very well of me, I couldn't leave. Ask the Neapolitans if I'm not a top player. There's a great atmosphere here, and I'm happy."
The 29-year-old signed for Napoli in 2007 and has since made over 400 appearances, scoring 104 goals and assisting in a further 96.
