Augsburg 1 - 1 Eintracht Frankfurt: Augsburg breached at last but hit back for a point
Posted Monday, December 05, 2016 by PA
Augsburg conceded their first goal in 322 minutes but fought back to take a point in a 1-1 draw against high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt.
Branimir Hrgota gave Frankfurt the lead with a fine strike from 20 yards, using two touches of the ball to control and then fire the ball low into the bottom right-hand corner.
Dong-Won Ji had clearly been watching closely as he did the very same to bring Augsburg level from the same distance before the break.
Alexander Meier saw a shot headed off the line by Kostantinos Stafylidis, while goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky did well to keep Augsburg out as both sides had chances to win it.
