Guingamp 2 - 0 Nantes: Guingamp stay in European hunt with victory over struggling Nantes

Guingamp gained their first Ligue 1 win in five games, beating strugglers Nantes 2-0 at Stade du Roudourou.
Jimmy Briand put the hosts ahead in the 22nd minute after an assist from fellow attacker Yannis Salibur, who on 63 minutes doubled the lead having received the ball from Brazilian defender Fernando Marcal.
The result keeps Nantes, who are winless in seven league matches and earlier this week parted company with coach Rene Girard, in the relegation zone while Guingamp stay in the race for European qualification.
Guingamp have seven league wins, five draws and four defeats while Nantes, now under the guidance of reserve-team coach Philippe Mao, have nine losses and just three victories and four draws to their name.
