Bristol City vs Ipswich - Joe Bryan banned for Bristol City

Bristol City are without suspended defender Joe Bryan for the Sky Bet Championship visit of Ipswich.

Bryan was booked for the fifth time this season at Reading last weekend and his one-match ban could present an opportunity to England Under-20 defender Taylor Moore.

Apart from Bryan's absence, Robins boss Lee Johnson has a full squad to choose from as he attempts to end a run of three successive league defeats.

Sweden striker Gustav Engvall has had a slow start to his City career due to a knee problem sustained following his summer arrival from IFK Gothenburg, but he pushed his case for a starting spot by scoring for the Under-23s against Ipswich on Monday.

Town boss Mick McCarthy expects to name an unchanged XI from the one which beat QPR 3-0 at Portman Road last week.

Adam Webster returned to the centre of defence following his hamstring problem, but forward Leon Best will have to be content with a place on the bench again after coming back from a knee injury.

Former Bristol City forward Brett Pitman has recovered from an ankle problem ahead of schedule but remains short on match fitness so he will not make the squad at Ashton Gate.

Midfielder Luke Hyam (knee) and defender Tommy Smith (back) also continue their rehabilitation, along with midfielder Giles Coke (knee).
