Toulouse 1 - 0 Montpellier: Issiaga Sylla gets Toulouse back on track against Montpellier

Posted Thursday, December 01, 2016 by PA

Issiaga Sylla's first-half goal brought an end to Toulouse's bad run as they beat Montpellier 1-0.

Le Tefece risked slipping out of the top half of the Ligue 1 table following three defeats from four games but winger Sylla's 19th-minute strike delivered a first home victory since early October.

Linking up well with Martin Braithwaite throughout the match at the Stadium Municipal, Sylla collected a pass from the Denmark international before slotting past Laurent Pionnier.

Toulouse had to resist a late flurry of efforts from Montpellier, who suffered a first defeat in five, but home goalkeeper Alban Lafont stood strong.
