High-flying Cologne were frustrated as they were held to a goalless draw at home to Augsburg
The visitors extended their unbeaten streak to three games thanks to a stern defensive display which shut out 12-goal striker Anthony Modeste.
Indeed, it was substitute Marcel Hartel who went closest to breaking Augsburg's resistance late on, but the away side held on.
Augsburg had a good phase midway through the second half in which they threatened to take away more than a point, but the point was still just reward for their efforts.
