Shrewsbury Town vs Port Vale - Joe Riley still sidelined for Shrewsbury
Posted Thursday, November 24, 2016 by PA
Joe Riley misses out for Shrewsbury for the visit of Port Vale.
The defender had knee surgery last month and is expected to make his comeback just before Christmas having not played for almost a month.
Attackers Ethan Jones (knee) and Shaun Whalley (thigh) suffered injuries last Friday and were sidelined for the defeats at Sheffield United and Fleetwood.
Abu Ogogo continues to be banned after his red card at United last Saturday.
Anton Forrester is a fresh injury absentee for Vale after a hamstring injury forced his withdrawal before half-time in midweek.
Forrester joins fellow forward Jerome Thomas, who is also nursing a hamstring problem, in missing the short trip to the New Meadow.
Defender Ben Purkiss (shoulder) and midfielders Sam Foley (ankle) and Anthony Grant, whose suspension was this week extended by five matches and means he will not be available again until Boxing Day, are also unavailable.
Some good news for Vale boss Bruno Ribeiro could see left-back Sam Hart back in contention following a bout of concussion.
