Reading vs Bristol City - No fresh injury worries for Reading as Royals chase fifth successive league win

Reading manager Jaap Stam has no fresh injury or suspension concerns as they welcome Bristol City in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola is back back in training but will not be fit enough to feature this weekend as the high-flying Royals look to win their fifth league game in a row.

Yann Kermorgant is also absent again, although Stam says the striker is improving and may step up his recovery next week, while Joey van den Berg only has an outside chance of being involved.

Stephen Quinn remains sidelined due to a knee injury and John Swift is out for a number of weeks with ankle ligament damage.

Joel Ekstrand has suffered another injury blow in what has been a frustrating start to his Bristol City career.

The twice-capped Sweden defender has made only two appearances and has yet to play a full 90 minutes since joining the Robins in September.

Ekstrand had some fluid drained from his knee 10 days ago but has now picked up an ankle injury.

Winger Luke Freeman has returned to training after an ankle problem of his own and boss Lee Johnson has confirmed he is in contention to play this weekend.
