Peterborough United vs Scunthorpe United - Ryan Tafazolli to wear head bandage against Scunthorpe

Posted Tuesday, November 22, 2016 by PA

Ryan Tafazolli is expected to play with a head bandage when Peterborough host Scunthorpe in Sky Bet League One on Tuesday.

Defender Tafazolli completed last Saturday's win at rivals Northampton despite sustaining a cut eye which required a dressing.

Brad Inman is stepping up his training and playing with the reserves, but is not yet in first-team contention.

Jermaine Anderson remains out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Scunthorpe manager Graham Alexander has no new injury or suspension concerns but hinted he could refresh his starting line-up.

Striker Paddy Madden will play no part as he recovers from a hamstring strain which kept him out of Saturday's home win against Oldham.

The Irishman has targeted a return to action in next Saturday's home game against Oxford.

Skipper David Mirfin will be sidelined for a month due to a foot injury and defender Harry Toffolo hopes to be in contention at the weekend after returning to training this week.
