Iheanacho not a number nine, says former coach

Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is more effective in a deeper-lying striker's role, says his former youth coach.
Danladi Nasidi, currently the coach of the Nigeria U15 international team, worked with Iheanacho as a youngster.
He believes that City boss Pep Guardiola should consider playing Iheanacho as a support striker, out wide, or even in midfield.
"Kelechi is not a number nine, he doesn't like defenders to mark him. He is a supporting striker, sometimes I played him as a winger, from the left," Nasidi told Allnigeriasoccer.
"I also played him in the midfield, he takes shots because he is free in midfield. If you put him as a top striker, he won't be able to shoot."
Nasidi is adamant that his former charge is good enough to stay with Manchester City for the long-term.
"I have been told two teams are interested in signing Kelechi now. He is doing fine in Man City, I want him to stay and grow with City before moving to another club."
