Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford believes their back-to-back wins prove they are good enough to retain their Premier League status this season.
Following their impressive 3-0 win over Hull City at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, the Black Cats celebrated their first back-to-back triumphs since May and the 22-year-old shot-stopper was instrumental.
The first home win of the season also moved David Moyes side off the foot of the table for the first time this campaign at the expense of Bob Bradley's struggling Swansea City.
"I have always said we are not far away, we just needed to click as a team and get that first win," he told the Sunderland Echo. "Now we need to keep building and building.
"We have done it the last couple of years, once it clicks we are a good side. On paper, we are good enough to be in the Premier League and we believe we are good enough to stay here.
"It gives us such a lift being off the bottom," he added. "A couple of weeks ago we were on two points so it has been a good couple of weeks."
